I've said it before, being able to give back to the furry community is one of the things I enjoy most about my job as a pet photographer.
Recently, I was approached to participate in a couple of events in February and March.
The first, on February 21st, is a bowl-a-thon at Quinnz Pinz in Middletown, New York. This bowl-a-thon is to benefit of PAWS of the Hudson Valley, a great local rescue devoted to saving the lives of abandoned and abused pets, and educating people. I will be sponsoring a bowling lane as well as photographing the event. It should be a fun afternoon for everyone involved. The donations for entry ($18 preregistered and/or $20 at the door) include bowling shoes, pizza, and soda. What could be more fun?? They are also giving away gift baskets to each of the winners for each lane's first game. I mean, seriously, who wouldn't want to participate in this? I'm so there! Check out the info below if you want to come play with us and support the efforts of the rescue.
The second event, on March 19th, is, you guessed it...Easter pictures! I will be photographing pets and children with the Easter Bunny at Tractor Supply in Pine Bush, NY. Pets, children, Easter Bunnies, the trifecta of cuteness! The event will benefit PAWS of the Hudson Valley as well as Oliver's Orphan Oasis, another great rescue dedicated to care and proper home placement of lost and neglected pets of all kinds. They will have a bake sale going on and some of the adoptable fur babies will be there too. A donation to the rescues will be requested to have your pet's/children's photos taken with the Easter Bunny. The photos will then be available the following day online from www.amlahanko.com/easterpaws for direct download. Here is a bit more info about this event too.
