Thank you for stopping by; my name is Amanda. This is my story...
Having grown up on a horse farm in the scenic Catskill Mountains of New York; animals have always been a big part of my life. In 2007, when one of my Arabs crossed the Rainbow Bridge as a result of colic, I was devastated. I had lost one of my best friends. Fortunately, having spent many hours behind the camera lens photographing him, preserving his personality, I was able to have a memorial blanket created from his photograph. It was such a comfort knowing that even though he had passed, I was able to constantly look at him, curl up with him, and remember all of the amazing times we shared.
Today, my four legged family consists of two Arabians, two Miniature Schnauzers, and a Pomeranian. And because of them, I have been able to pursue a career that I am passionate about: capturing and memorializing the special place our pets hold in our hearts so that they can be cherished and remembered long after they have made their journey over the Rainbow Bridge.
In addition, I have always had a fascination with fantasy realms, magic, and mythical creatures. I could watch The Lord of the Rings over and over and not get tired of it; wishing I could be part of that world. Fortunately, thanks to my camera, imagination, and Photoshop, I can create my own fantastic creatures and transform my clients into something out of this world. Allowing them to become something of their own fantasies.
With over a decade of experience, a background in pet psychology, an extensive profile, and by combining my artistic flair and technical skill, you can rely on me to "capture today's moments, for tomorrow's memories."
